2.1 WAGMI - We’re all going to make it

In the past, I resisted the impulse to put "everyone" on this list because it felt like a police lineup and a sign of market tops. What's different this time is that we're starting to see learning, earning, and contributing as pathways to wealth, rather than just passive speculation.

"We’re all going to make it" has been one of my favorite Crypto memes over the years. It says "we're early" without coming off like an annoying early cx bettor. It’s a memorable twist on Balaji’s famous quip "win and help win," which is personally my favorite. It embodies more mission alignment and altruism than another Crypto Twitter favorite, “Up Only.” WAGMI represents a cultural shift in Crypto from the "tear down the government, let's move to a fort" crowd to the "let's build the future with better technology, aligned incentives, and other builders" crowd.

WAGMI also includes you (assuming you're reading this report with an open mind). Welcome to the Crypto community!

If you're still skeptical about crypto, don't worry; just don't be openly hostile and closed-minded about its potential. Malicious critics like Jamie Dimon fall into the NGMI (Not Going to Make It) category.

That said, Jamie has been consistently wrong but consistent in his thoughts on crypto over the years.

  • Calling it a "terrible store of value" (2014)

  • Claiming it "won't endure" and "will be stopped" (2015)

  • "No place to go" (2016)

  • and was "a fraud" (2017)

  • told interviewers he "really doesn't care" about cryptocurrency (2018)

  • then launched the JPM Coin pilot project (2019)

  • admitted it's "not my cup of tea" (2020)

  • Then in the fall of 2021, he dismissed it with a "I don't care about it," calling it "gold for fools" and "worthless."

Don't be like Jamie. He's NGMI.
