Chris Dixon is a partner at the well-known investment firm a16z, focusing on the web3 field. I once shared his podcast with Tim Ferris discussing web3:

I always find it very rewarding to listen to his insights. A good friend, Mr. T, who has co-invested in projects with him, describes Chris as a very sharp individual. Chris also runs a blog where you can read more of his thoughts: https://cdixon.org/.
In yesterday's announcement from a16z, it was mentioned that Chris will release a new book titled *Read Write Own* next year. The main content of the book covers:
Chris firmly believes that blockchain and the software built around it (i.e., web3) offer the only viable path to sustaining the original vision of the internet — an open platform that encourages innovation and entrepreneurship. To support this view, Chris has spent years advocating for it through writing, speaking, and engaging in conversations with business leaders, journalists, and policymakers around the world.
Today, there is a need for a comprehensive book that explains new technologies like blockchain and the services built on top of them in a clear way, situates blockchain within the history of the internet, and explains why it should matter to founders, developers, creators, and anyone interested in the history and evolution of business, technology, and innovation.
The book delves into many controversial issues, including policy and regulatory topics, as well as the harmful "gambling" culture surrounding cryptocurrencies that distorts public perception and undermines its potential. Additionally, the book explores intersecting themes such as artificial intelligence, social networks, finance, media businesses, collaborative creation, video games, and virtual worlds.
This book will be released on March 12th next year. Although it feels like a while from now, you can already pre-order it on Amazon and Apple Books. Friends who are interested in this can get prepared in advance.
